The centralized power generation infrastructure that defines the North American electric grid is slowly moving to distributed architecture due explosion in use of renewable and energy resources (DERs), such as residential solar, wind turbines battery storage. Furthermore, variable pricing policies profusion flexible loads entail frequent severe changes outputs required from individual units, requiring fast availability allocation. To this end, a fixed-time convergent, fully economic dispatch algorithm for scheduling optimal among set DERs proposed. proposed incorporates both load balance capacity constraints.
